FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

'What products do you use?'

In my kit at the moment I have combination of professional ranges including Illamasqua, Urban Decay, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, Iconic London and Beauty Bay.

I am constantly updating it and I love to experiment with new products and brands to achieve the very best result.

I use skincare products designed for sensitive skin and observe the strictest of hygiene routines.

MOST importantly, ALL my products are cruelty free and 95% of them are vegan friendly too.

'Do I need a trial? And how far in advance do I need to book one?'

Trials are very important. Not only do they enable you to experiment with ideas and see the finished look, but they also allow us to get to know each other a little better. It's quite daunting having your make up done by a stranger so it's just as important for you to trust and have confidence in me.

I contact my brides around  4/5 months prior to the wedding to arrange your trial date. I usually recommend a date 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

Ladies with very sensitive skin may wish to book earlier to ensure they do not suffer an adverse reaction to the products (though this has yet to happen).

Trials take place during the week at my home studio.

'Can my mum and bridesmaids have a trial?'

Yes of course!  Trials for mums and bridesmaids are only an additional £45 per person and can take place at the same time as your own or separately. Why not make a real celebration of it and arrange your trials to take place in advance of a girly night out? Please note, if you wish to add a person to the trial I must be informed in advance to allow for the added time on the day.

'Can I just book a trial before I decide for my wedding day?'

The trial and wedding day are booked as a package. However I understand that it can be a difficult decision for some ladies to book without having a trial in advance. I am happy to conduct a stand alone trial but by doing so this does not secure the wedding date, therefore it is open to be booked by another bride (who pays the required deposit) before we have the chance to carry out a trial. If the trial is carried out and the booking is confirmed, I would recommend a second trial be carried out nearer the time of the wedding.

'Will my make up last all day?'

I use professional quality primers and fixers to guarantee your make-up looks radiant and stays in place all day and lasts into the night. I always recommend however that you carry a translucent powder to remove any shine that may peep through and your lip colour of choice so you can re-apply during the day. This is all discussed at the trial.

'Can I book you for the whole day?'

Yes. Should you wish I can offer a full VIP service and stay with you and your bridal party throughout the day and into the evening. I can discreetly touch up make up (reduce shine and reapply lip colour) to ensure a totally flawless look throughout the day. This includes remaining with you until your evening guests arrive should you wish to re-vamp your look. Click here for more information.

Alternatively, if the venue is less than 5

miles from my home in Preston I can return to the wedding venue before the evening reception to touch up your make up or revamp your look.

'I'm vegan, can I have a vegan make over?'

ABSOLUTELY! I'm the ONLY make up artist in the North West region able to offer this due to my extensive knowledge of my products. Just let me know before we start the service so I can select the appropriate products.

'I have sensitive skin/exzema/psoriasis...can I still have a make over?'

Of course! I use only products and skincare suitable for sensitive skins. I conduct a full consultation before application, but if you have any concerns please just let me know.

'Do you style hair?'
